ABOUT US

The Hudson’s

A former radio news director in Las Vegas, Mary and her husband Keith pastored in Santa Barbara, CA, from 1980-87. Church members were involved in prison ministry and rehabilitation, as well as feeding the hungry. The Hudsons continued on as traveling ministers and Mary wrote for ABC, CBS and Newsweek.

Currently the Hudsons have a TV show on TVSB in Santa Barbara, they travel and help local  shelters get on their feet. Mary has been holding women empowerment conferences for the past 16 years in California and Hawaii. In December 2021, they held a 5K women-arise walk/run and raised $31,000. for the Bethel House in Santa Barbara. The women's home with the Santa Barbara Rescue Mission was badly in need of new windows that closed as well as screens on the windows. Projects like this that we can identify in shelters are our main focus.

The Mission

"Our mission is to empower women to ARISE & shine as bold, trailblazing individuals who think outside the box. We seek to be a light in lives that have been surrounded by darkness."

Who is WOMEN ARISE for?

Depression, insecurity, anxiety and things alike have crippled many women in life and some end up in rehabilitation shelters. We want to see WOMEN ARISE and shine so they step up to a higher level and impact the world around them.

Through out her life Mary Hudson has led countless women out of darkness into the light.

The freedom we have personally witnessed in others who attend WOMEN ARISE conferences propels us to continue, as well as our work in rehabilitating shelters.Whether you attend a conference or live in a shelter, you are saturated with positive truths, encouraging words that uplift your spirits, loving and fierce leaders.

Our outreach

Our goal is to reach women from all walks of life at any stage in life. Every year WOMEN ARISE sponsors individuals from domestic violence shelters and drug rehabilitation homes into empowerment conferences. Our main purpose with Women Arise is to rehabilitate the homes/shelters the women live in.  Many times the homes are provided but they are not adequately maintained.

Diamond Girls are treated to the luxury of a hotel stay, showered with gifts and reminded they are human, they are women meant for more than they’ve ever thought possible, in these meetings. Then when we tour their shelters, and we can identify projects in their shelters that need serious rehabilitation.

Reaching beyond

WOMEN ARISE believes in giving back. In 2021, we hosted a 5k run/walk to raise funds for Santa Barbara’s BETHEL House, an organization based out of the Rescue Mission there. Bethel House is a live-in rehabilitation program who help women impacted by the effects of drugs and alcohol abuse but are seeking to make a life change.

INDIVIDUALLY WE ARE A DROP BUT TOGETHER WE ARE AN OCEAN
